ConstrAct in Austria sent us this nice little video. They used MakerBeam to create a model so a use case could be build to test the order and delivery process of sneakers.
The video shows a miniature conveyor belt. They built a cool setup for a cloud use case. The results are shown in Azure PowerBI.

Roboat is aiming to create the world’s first fleet of autonomous floating vessels. The team behind the self-driving Roboat used MakerBeamXL for their prototype, see video and pictures below. For more information about the project see Roboat’s website Roboat.org
According to their website Roboat (Roboat.org) is a 5 year research project and collaboration between the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In developing the world’s first fleet of autonomous floating vessels for the city of Amsterdam, it investigates the potential of self-driving technology to change our cities and their waterways.
From Sam we got a picture of a camera frame made from MakerBeamXL. The frame stabilises the camera housing when it’s towed behind a boat for smooth underwater footage. The underwater footage is used for Sam’s PhD studies in marine ecology. MakerBeamXL provided an affordable and practical solution, she wrote. Below there is a picture of the frame.
Stefan from ConstrAct made an address sign with built in LED lights. He used MakerBeamXL to create the frame, see picture.
Stefan from ConstrAct in Austria sent us a new MakerBeam project: a GoPro slider. For the frame 600mm MakerBeam (10x10mm) was used. The linear slide, also 600mm, was attached on top. It is driven by Arduino Nano with some additional parts from his 3D printer and CNC mill.

PCBGrip kits have sold out. Other PCBGrip items show low stock levels or are sold out as well. Currently we do not know when we will receive new stock. We apologise for the inconvenience.
The manufacturer of PCBGrip has not been able to keep stock therefore we are unable to order new items. As metioned it is currently unclear when we will receive any new PCBGrip items. We will keep you posted.
MakerBeam is also very useful to temporarily fix your car window. Anton sent us some pictures to show his improvised window using a MakerBeam frame. He was on the road for the ‘Modell-Hobby-Spiel’-fair in Leipzig where he represented MakerBeam.de (Chartup.com), see picture.
While travelling for this fair he had his car broken into. The car window on the right side was smashed. He made a MakerBeam frame to fill the window space. One side was taped, on the other side some type of glass was put in. The result: he could still make use of his side view mirror.
Stefan from ConstrAct sent us this great project. It is a see through acrylic glass whiteboard made with MakerBeamXL. It measures 2000x1000mm and has integrated LED light.

Alisa sent us this picture above. A coffee table with LEDs inside. MakerBeam black anodised was used to build it’s frame. This coffee table makes for a great eyecatcher.
